Privacy Policy

Danko Wage is a payroll product built by Buntu Hosting (Pty) Ltd, the same team behind Danko Invoice. Buntu Hosting (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for personal information processed through Danko Wage.

• Account details — your name, email address and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
• Company details — business name, registration and tax reference numbers you enter during setup.
• Employee and payroll data — the employee records, salaries, deductions and payslips you create in the app.
• Technical data — basic log and device information needed to keep the service running and secure.

We process this information to give you the service you signed up for: creating payslips, calculating PAYE, UIF and SDL, storing your payroll history, and supporting your account. We do not sell your data and we do not use employee records for advertising.

When you load employee information into Danko Wage, you remain responsible for having a lawful basis to process it and for telling your employees how their information is used. We act on your instructions as the operator of that data.

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to host the application, store your database and send transactional email. They process data on our behalf under contract and only for the purposes of running Danko Wage.

Access to your workspace requires authentication, and your data is separated per account so other customers cannot read it. Traffic to and from the app is encrypted in transit. No online service can promise perfect security — please use a strong, unique password and keep your login details private.

We keep your payroll records for as long as your account is active, so that your history stays available for SARS purposes. If you close your account, you can ask us to delete your data and we will remove it, except where we are required to retain records by law.

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to certain processing. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time.

We use only the storage necessary to keep you signed in and to remember the payslip you were building before you created an account. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
